Adjuvia Therapeutics
San Francisco, California, United States, North America
Overview
Adjuvia Therapeutics, founded in 2023 and based in San Francisco, is developing oral therapeutics intended to repair mitochondrial damage by addressing oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, and organ degeneration. Its lead program, ATI-105, is a blood-brain barrier-penetrant lipid nanoparticle formulation of a novel astaxanthin molecule claimed to have superior bioactivity and bioavailability. In preclinical models of mitochondrial disease, ATI-105 demonstrated reductions in reactive oxygen species and chronic inflammation, evidence of cellular repair, improved organ function, and extended lifespan. The company plans to submit an IND for ATI-105 this summer, initiate a Phase 1 trial in healthy volunteers in Fall 2026, and begin a Phase 1/2 study in Friedreich’s ataxia patients in early 2027. The recent $8 million Series Seed financing led by JLO Ventures will fund these clinical development milestones.
