Overview
Founded in 2020 by KAIST aerospace engineering alumnus Seung-Hyun Yoon, ADRO is an aerotech company that designs and sells aerodynamic body-kits for 12 car brands, including Tesla, BMW, Toyota and Porsche. Its 230+ SKUs not only change styling but also reduce drag and increase downforce; a real-world test on a Tesla Model Y demonstrated a 4.1 % drag reduction and a 4.6 % energy-efficiency gain. Roughly 90 % of the firm’s sales come from overseas, spanning 21 countries, with U.S. revenue tripling from ₩1.8 billion in 2023 to ₩5.2 billion in 2024. Consolidated revenue reached about ₩11 billion in 2024, up 93 % year-on-year, and the company reported ₩6.5 billion for the first half of 2025, a 46 % increase over the prior-year period. ADRO is also building AOX (Aerodynamic Optimization eXperience), a cloud-based, no-code AI simulation tool that promises CFD-level analysis in minutes; beta launch is planned for CES 2026. Partnerships with HP and AWS for AOX’s cloud infrastructure are under discussion. Proceeds from the latest funding will support new product development, U.S. offline center build-out, a German subsidiary, and continued AOX development.
