Advent Access is a Singapore-based medtech spin-off from A*STAR developing the patented av-Guardian™, a device-guided needling platform that engineers a high-quality tissue track to enable reliable and less-painful vascular access to arteriovenous fistulas used by dialysis patients. The av-Guardian™ pioneers a “guardian guide-door” concept that is non-invasive to the vessel, intended to reduce wear and tear on patients' veins and lower rates of hospitalization and surgery. The company has worked with ETPL, A*STAR’s commercialization arm, on productization and clinical validation. Led by founder and CEO Peh Ruey Feng, Advent Access plans to use the financing to advance development and commercialization of the av-Guardian™. Management targets a filing for CE mark registration within the next 18 months. Financially, the company closed a S$2.6m pre-Series A financing to support these activities.
