AerSale supplies aftermarket aircraft, engines and component parts to airlines, leasing companies and OEM/MRO service providers. The company completed an initial $250M equity raise with Green Equity Investors V, an affiliate of Leonard Green & Partners. Management said the partnership will allow AerSale to focus on acquiring, leasing and redistributing products to the aviation industry. AerSale plans to acquire over $1 billion of aviation assets during the next five years. Leadership frames the company as a well-capitalized participant positioned to provide cost-effective aftermarket flight equipment and high customer satisfaction. The company aims to assist airlines with fleet transitions through sale-leaseback transactions or outright purchase and remarketing of aircraft, engines and parts inventories.
