Aervio offers an AI-based corporate travel management platform that leverages natural language processing to meet business travel requests within minutes and automate searches, pricing, booking and invoicing. The company says its platform can cut typical travel management time by as much as 90% and is focused on increasing automation for travel manager tasks. Founded in 2016 and based in Barcelona, Aervio serves a diverse client base across banks, fashion, engineering, law firms, consultancies and industrial and tech sectors. The startup reports around 200 customers, more than 20 employees, and has been tripling its turnover year over year; in the first five months of 2019 its gross turnover matched the whole of 2018. Historically its target clients spent €50–€500k a year on travel, but it has begun pursuing larger corporate accounts and now works with clients spending €3 million and upwards. Aervio plans to use the new funding to drive growth in Spain and Europe and to increase R&D investment to further optimize automation and AI on the platform.
