AffaMed Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing therapies for ophthalmic, neurological and psychiatric disorders. Since its founding in 2019, the company has built a global platform to serve patients in Greater China and worldwide and assembled capabilities in clinical development, regulatory affairs and business development. AffaMed has a pipeline of therapeutic candidates in ophthalmology and neuroscience and plans to advance those programs through clinical development and toward commercialization. Proceeds from the recent financing will be used to advance clinical programs, support business development and partnering activities, and prepare for future commercialization. The company is led by CEO Dr. Dayao Zhao and recently appointed Dr. Ji Li as President and board member to strengthen business development and R&D leadership. AffaMed was founded and initially funded by CBC Group.
