Overview
AHN operates a network of dialysis centers offering renal care and related clinical services across the continent. The company currently runs about 45 clinics and reported growth from 17 centers at the end of 2021 to nearly 50 centers and over 500 team members by year-end 2023. AHN plans rapid geographic expansion into underserved regions with an stated ambition to reach 100+ centers by 2025. The company intends to enhance its technological capabilities for early identification and management of kidney disease and to invest in workforce training and development. AHN emphasizes adherence to high ethical and ESG standards and aims to be a role model for sustainable, impact-driven healthcare as it scales. Africa Healthcare Network (AHN) operates kidney care and dialysis units in government, private and faith-based hospitals as well as stand-alone centers across Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania. The company is based in Port Louis, Mauritius and currently runs eight centers across Rwanda and Tanzania, with 15 centers expected by year-end 2019. AHN holds public–private partnerships with the Government of Rwanda, an MOU with the Government of Tanzania, and strategic partnerships with major hospital systems in East Africa. The management team brings a combined ~100 years of operational and clinical experience. AHN plans to use the Series A proceeds to continue growing in Tanzania following its entry into Kenya and to expand into West and Southern Africa over the next two years. In addition to the equity financing, the company will raise additional debt to fund its expansion plans.
