Afrimax Group is an Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based mobile network operator focused on deploying 4G wireless broadband (LTE) across sub-Saharan Africa. The company is building a portfolio of 4G wireless broadband networks and currently holds 4G licence presence covering 12 countries with a population under coverage of 222m. Afrimax was founded by Jay Metcalfe (Chairman), Peter Langkilde (Chief Executive Officer) and Rob Philpott (Chief Financial Officer). The company has a non-equity strategic framework agreement with Vodafone announced in November 2014; Vodafone Uganda was launched in February 2015 under that arrangement.
