In recent months the company has narrowed its strategy away from the broader marketplace model toward concentrating on distribution and sale of agricultural inputs, particularly fertiliser products, to capture more predictable economics and demand visibility. AgriAku has undertaken organisational restructuring to support this shift, including reducing headcount by about 20–30% and changes impacting the sales team. Financially, the company has previously raised $35 million in a 2022 Series A and a $5 million extension that year, with total equity fundraising of $46 million reported. The latest convertible note financing of roughly $4–6 million is intended to extend runway as the company executes the business realignment. The company’s shareholder base includes Argor, Unruly Rebels, Alpha JWC Ventures, Irga Spring Corporation, Altrui Investment Management, and MDI Ventures’ funds, among others.
