Agrobiomics

Ole Maaloesvej 3, Copenhagen, Hovedstaden, 2200, Denmark

Overview

Agrobiomics, founded in 2022 and based in Copenhagen, develops Fortify, a biological abiotic stress protectant that increases plant robustness to drought and salinity. Fortify has shown strong field results and progressed into field trials for soy and corn, with reported impressive yield data. The company says the solution works at an unprecedentedly low dose per hectare and is easy to integrate into existing agronomic practices. Agrobiomics plans to continue trials across soy, corn and tomatoes and expand testing across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa. The team positions Fortify as part of a broader BioAg strategy to address both abiotic and biotic stress and ultimately replace pesticides with natural Streptomyces metabolites. Financially, Agrobiomics received €1.4 million in support from the BioInnovation Institute and has just raised additional capital to commercialize Fortify. Agrobiomics develops transformative natural solutions intended to secure a sustainable food supply by making agriculture resilient to climate change. Its core product is a lead biostimulant designed to increase yields of crops affected by abiotic stresses such as salinity and drought. The company says its solutions are affordable and highly potent, enabling growers globally to improve yields. Agrobiomics plans to use new funding to accelerate validation and commercialisation of its lead biostimulant. It is supported by the BioInnovation Institute and the Danish Innovation Fund. Recent support from BII includes follow-on funding via the Venture House program.
