Overview
Aidoptation, founded in 2025 as a spin-off from the Indy Autonomous Challenge, develops AI-driven autonomous systems that originated on the racetrack and are now being adapted for real-world mobility and defence applications. The company’s flagship product, EdgeDrive, enables highway-speed autonomy above 90 km/h and has already reached Technology Readiness Level 6–7. Aidoptation targets dual-use deployments across commercial automotive, police, first-responder and defence fleets, with plans to expand partnerships in Europe, the United States and Asia. Headquartered at DronePort in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, the startup benefits from a 30-hectare airport business park designed for carbon-free and autonomous-mobility testing. Its newly raised capital strengthens in-house R&D and supports industrialisation of validated technology while anchoring advanced manufacturing capacity in Belgium. The company positions its work as strategically important for NATO-aligned autonomy and aims to lower dependency risks in critical autonomous tech. Prior to the current raise, Aidoptation closed a €5 million seed round in February 2025 led by LRM and Ethias Ventures.
