Overview
AIMMO offers AD-DaaS, a flagship solution that supplies optimized datasets tailored for autonomous driving by analyzing Operational Design Domains and curating scenario-specific data with expert annotation. Its services are designed to improve AI algorithm performance while reducing client development time and cost. AIMMO counts global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers such as BOSCH, Continental, Magna International, and Tata Motors among its customers. The company is expanding beyond autonomous driving, exploring collaborations in smart city construction. Management says it has signed supply contracts across Europe, North America, and Japan and is driving projects in those regions. AIMMO plans to refine AD-DaaS, develop edge devices for data collection, and finalize full-cycle AI data solutions as part of its growth strategy. AIMMO builds an AI data-annotation platform and three annotation products: AIMMO DaaS for sensor-fusion/autonomous vehicle data, AIMMO GtaaS (turnkey big-data labeling) and AIMMO Enterprises, a web-based SaaS labeling tool. The company serves smart city, autonomous driving, robotics, OCR, smart factory, surveillance, e-commerce and logistics customers, including Hyundai Motor, Hyundai Mobis, Kakao Mobility, SoCar, ThoreDrive, SK Telecom, Naver and Kakao. AIMMO reported $10 million in revenue in 2021 and said sales and labeling volume through its DaaS platform grew 200% in 2021 versus 2020. The startup has about 200 employees and more than 10,000 data labelers globally. Headquartered in Korea, AIMMO has offices in the U.K., the U.S., Japan and Vietnam and plans to open offices in Germany and Canada in 2022. It competes with companies such as Scale AI, Playment, Understand.ai and Deepen AI as it pursues further global expansion.
