Overview
Aiper is an Atlanta-based maker of cordless robotic pool cleaners that sells primarily online and through retail channels. The company is a leading brand in online direct-to-consumer channels and is also available in over 7,000 stores across Europe and North America. Aiper holds patented technologies and works to expand its distribution and product reach. The company announced a strategic collaboration with Fluidra to accelerate innovation and grow the pool cleaning market. Plans tied to the partnership include broadening Aiper’s consumer base, achieving a full omnichannel presence, and supporting European distribution. The financing is positioned to help drive the company’s global expansion and strengthen its presence in professional channels. Aiper (元鼎智能) is a leading pool-robot brand focused on robotic pool-cleaning products. It recently completed more than $60 million in combined B and B+ financings. The company says the proceeds will be used to push yard electrification and intelligent-product布局 (庭院电动化和智能化). The B round was led by 招银国际 (CMBI) with Fosun RuiZheng and Fengqiao Capital participating and existing investor XVC increasing its stake. The B+ round was led by a global top new-energy company, with existing shareholders further increasing their holdings. Previously, in 2022 Aiper raised over $15 million in an A round from XVC and Sunwoda. Sunwoda is an A-share listed company; its Sunwoda Power unit focuses on lithium-battery R&D, production and sales and is preparing to list, and Li Auto and Xpeng are cited as shareholders. YuanDing Intelligent (元鼎智能) focuses on yard-intelligence scenarios and produces products such as wireless pool-cleaning robots (Aiper), lawn-mowing robots, industrial cleaning robots, and home energy storage devices. The company launched the wireless Aiper pool-robot brand in 2019 and emphasizes cordless operation and longer runtimes. Aiper devices use a self-developed battery pack management system and offer features like automatic path planning, configurable spot-cleaning zones, and scheduled cleanings. The company plans to further develop underwater intelligent path planning, underwater power systems, and underwater communications, and to introduce new products across multiple price points to cover simple to deep cleaning. YuanDing is also developing modular, removable, and universally compatible battery packs for upcoming yard energy-storage products to enable linkage across its product lines. The company recently completed a Series A to fund product R&D, brand building, and talent recruitment.
