Overview

Airmee is a Stockholm-based logistics startup that provides an AI-based last-mile delivery platform. It partners with retailers and courier services to make efficient urban deliveries and emphasizes sustainability. Clients include pharmacies Apotea and Meds as well as e-retailers Babyshop, Lyko and Mathem. The company said it reached its end-of-year 2020 goals for daily volume as early as Q2 2020 amid increased home deliveries during the coronavirus pandemic. Airmee plans to use the new funding to drive growth and profitability on all fronts, CEO and founder Julian Lee said. The company has been previously backed by Alfvén & Didrikson, Creades, Trift (Felix Hagnö) and Izettle founders Jacob De Geer and Magnus Nilsson. Airmee is a Stockholm-based technology-enabled logistics company that built a software-as-a-service solution for optimizing transport in cities and offering smoother delivery services. Founded in 2015 by CEO Julian Lee and Adrian Prelipcean, the company works with more than 150 e-retailers, stores, restaurants and companies in Sweden. It completed a capital investment to add two Swedish angel investors, who contributed SEK 2M ($210k). Airmee is yet to become profitable and reported 2018 turnover of SEK 4.8M ($500k). Prior to this, it had raised about $5M, most recently in January 2019 from Swedish investors including Alfvén & Didrikson, Creades, Christian Ehrhardt, Johan Qviberg, Karl Erik von Bahr and Mattias Weinhandl. Airmee offers a last-mile distribution platform that lets e-commerce companies schedule delivery routes in real time to enable faster, more flexible deliveries. Founded in 2016 by Julian Lee and Adrian Prelipcean and based in Stockholm, the company has scaled operations rapidly and reports strong consumer repeat usage. Airmee plans to use new funding to expand delivery areas and further develop its technology. In 2017 the company had turnover of approximately €41k, and in 2018 its turnover increased tenfold on a monthly basis; the startup expects sales to increase sharply in 2019. Investors and partners have praised its research-based technology and operational expertise as it scales to handle larger volumes.
