Akdital is the leading private healthcare group in Morocco, operating a network of 42 multi-disciplinary hospitals across the country. The company’s core business is owning, leasing and managing acute-care facilities that provide services such as cardiology, surgery, intensive care and medical imaging. Management plans to expand the domestic footprint to 62 hospitals by 2027 while simultaneously pursuing aggressive international growth in the Gulf region. Initial foreign projects include a July memorandum of understanding to lease and manage the Abdulrahman Al-Mishari Hospital in Riyadh and, more recently, an agreement to acquire a majority stake in the 120-bed Awwad Albishri Health Center in Mecca; additional sites are being explored in Jeddah, Medina and the UAE. Akdital aims for overseas operations to generate 40-50 % of total revenue by 2030. Financially, first-half net profit surged 68 % year-on-year to 214 million dirhams on revenue of 2.1 billion dirhams, reflecting strong demand and operating leverage. The group is funding its growth through a mix of bond issuances and private-equity capital.
