Its predecessor work began inside DeNA from 2016, including a 2018 project with Kansai Electric on fuel-operation optimization for thermal power plants, and expanded through DeNA’s energy business office in 2019. In July 2021 the team spun out from DeNA to form ALGO ARTIS, with Kentarō Nagata as representative, and continues collaborating with DeNA as an equity-method affiliate. The company raised capital in a Series A to accelerate product development and hire engineers; a Series A extension was planned for September 2021.
