AlleSense
La Trobe University, Plenty Road & Kingsbury Drive, Bundoora, Victoria, 3086, Australia
Overview
AlleSense, founded in 2020 as a La Trobe University spin‑out, has developed the NanoMslide—a nanofabricated microscope slide that generates vivid cellular contrast without chemical dyes. The label‑free imaging approach uses a special coating to create color contrast on tissue samples, aiming to simplify variable staining processes and integrate with digital pathology workflows. The company says the technology can improve detection of early‑stage cancers and increase diagnostic concordance among pathologists. AlleSense plans to use the new capital to advance clinical validation and commercialize the NanoMslide. Financially, the company has now raised A$5 million in the latest round on top of a A$2.5 million seed round in 2023. Support from Breakthrough Victoria and the AEA Innovate grant program is intended to accelerate commercialization and create skilled jobs as the company scales.
