Alloy Digital is a New York-based operator of youth-focused websites and television channels targeting the 12–34 demographic. Its network includes properties such as Smosh, Generate, B5 Media, Clevver, The Escapist, ClevverNews, ClevverTeVe, Shut Up! Cartoons, SMOSH Games, and also includes Gurl and Teen. Led by CEO Matt Diamond, the network connects to more than 90 million consumers and counts over 30 million followers across its social media profiles. Since July 2011 the company has acquired Smosh, Generate, B5 Media, Clevver and The Escapist. The company intends to use the capital to advance product development and technology, add complementary properties and hire new people.
