Allswell is an early-stage digital health company that delivers virtual one-on-one and group therapy tailored to LGBTQ+ adults. Its clinicians, primarily licensed social workers, use affirmative cognitive behavioral therapy as well as cognitive processing therapy and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing to address trauma and minority stress. The platform is in-network with Maryland Medicaid, UnitedHealthcare, CareFirst and Cigna, and it also accepts cash payment, enabling access for a predominantly Medicaid population. According to the company, 83% of patients experience reduced depression symptoms within four to eight weeks. Founded in 2024, Allswell currently operates only in Maryland but plans to expand across additional states and reach the full Washington, D.C.–Maryland–Virginia region by early 2026. Proceeds from its recent pre-seed raise will support growth of its therapist network and the development of AI-enabled digital tools such as journaling features and skills-practice worksheets.
