Alminder develops Mynd Calendar, a mobile smart calendar that acts as a contextually aware virtual assistant by learning users’ routines and priorities to predict travel times and suggest departure times. The app detects driving locations from calendar events, accounts for typical traffic and current conditions, and can launch a user’s preferred navigation app. Mynd Calendar also notifies users when they’re running late, facilitates one‑click conference call dial‑ins, surfaces attendees’ LinkedIn profiles, pulls in Evernote notes, and delivers weather forecasts. It syncs with existing calendars including iCal, Google, Microsoft Exchange and Yahoo. The company said it will use the funding to advance Mynd Calendar’s features and to expand availability in France, Germany and the Netherlands; the app is available in the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Alminder is led by CEO Max Wheeler and recently closed a seed financing round to support product development and geographic expansion.
