ALPHEA is developing a distributed operating environment that combines execution, storage, networking and settlement capabilities for autonomous AI agents. The platform aims to enable multistep agent work with limited human direction by providing computing, memory, data storage, networking and payment infrastructure. ALPHEA plans to expand a global network of computing nodes by connecting unused capacity from personal computers, smartphones and edge devices, resembling decentralized physical infrastructure networks. It is also developing ALP, a native resource token, to handle payments and settlement between AI agents within the ecosystem. Current work includes improving its developer network and testnet, strengthening command-line tools and a Delta packaging system. The platform and its token-based economy remain under development and have not yet shown broad commercial adoption.
