Altiostar Networks develops networking technology aimed at improving LTE networks and emerged from stealth in November. It has disclosed multiple financings, including a $50 million raise announced in January and a $20 million addition to that latest round. According to SEC filings, the firm has now raised $140 million in equity funding since 2012. Investors have included Cisco Systems, Excelestar Ventures and the company’s founders. The company’s public disclosures to the SEC have been the source of its reported fundraising totals. Altiostar is building an array of solutions for the mobile broadband industry. The company says its vision is to enhance the communications experience and reduce the cost of technology. It describes a highly experienced team working on innovative ideas and is recruiting people with wireless broadband technology experience. Altiostar filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission reporting a $10.5 million raise in its second round of venture capital. The filing notes four separate investors participated in the offering.
