Amonix is a Seal Beach, California–based designer and manufacturer of concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) solar power systems. Its core product is CPV solar power systems. The company will use the $129.4M Series B proceeds to accelerate deployments of its CPV systems and expand manufacturing capacity. Amonix previously raised $25M in Series A funding from Goldman Sachs Group and MissionPoint Capital and received $15.6M in grant funding through the Department of Energy's Solar America Initiative. In 2010 it also received $9.5M in stimulus funding via the Recovery Act’s Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit, which is tied to the creation of 269 manufacturing jobs in Nevada and 167 in Arizona.
