Overview

Anghami is a MENA-focused digital entertainment platform with an audio portfolio of over 100 million songs and podcasts. The company has a strategic partnership with OSN+, which brings together OSN+’s 18,000 hours of premium video content and Anghami’s audio offerings. Anghami secured up to $55 million from OSN Group via a convertible note program, including a $12 million initial investment. The funding is intended to expand content libraries, enhance user experience, and strengthen the platforms’ presence across the MENA region. Anghami plans to use the capital to drive AI-driven personalization and next-generation streaming technologies. Company leadership described the investment as a milestone to accelerate the joint growth trajectory of Anghami and OSN+ following their April 2024 strategic partnership. Anghami operates a music and audio streaming platform with a catalogue of more than 100 million songs and licensed content from major labels and independent artists. The company also produces in-house content, branded music and video, podcasts, concerts and live events, a record label for Arab artists, and a music lounge with live entertainment. Anghami reports 120 million registered users (up from 75 million in 2021), a substantial subscriber base, 40+ telco partnerships, and generates 56 million user data points daily. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Anghami has offices in Beirut, Dubai, Cairo, and Riyadh and operates in 16 MENA countries; it has recently expanded into the US and Canada with Europe in the pipeline. The platform is available in English, Arabic and French and emphasizes original and exclusive Arabic content and regional distribution capabilities. The company positions itself to capture growth in a MENA music and audio market forecasted to reach $700M by 2026. Anghami is a Dubai, UAE-based music streaming company focused on the MENA region. Its platform hosts a 20 million song library, which the company says includes the largest catalogue of digital Arabic music globally alongside content from major international labels such as Universal, Sony and Warner. Founded by Eddy Maroun (CEO) and Elie Habib, Anghami has secured exclusive access to Arabic labels including Rotana, Platinum Records, Mazzika and Watary, and partnerships with leading aggregators. The service reports a subscriber base of 30 million users and 6 million monthly active users streaming at least 500 million songs. Anghami has pursued wide distribution and marketing partnerships, including a flagship marketing agreement with MBC that integrated the service into TV formats like Arab Idol, The Voice and The X‑Factor, and bundling agreements with more than 15 telcos across the Arab world. The company plans to use new funding to drive further user acquisition and regional expansion, grow its song library and enhance its music-video platform and other features.
