Anivive Lifesciences, based in Long Beach, Calif., combines biotechnology and AI to accelerate drug discovery and repurpose human treatments for veterinary use. Its pipeline targets oncology, antivirals, antifungal vaccines and diseases including feline infectious peritonitis and systemic fungal illnesses. Anivive launched its direct-to-veterinarian sales platform, Engage, in early 2024 and has processed over 9,000 orders. The company is developing a canine vaccine for Valley fever, described in the article as the first-ever antifungal vaccine, and is advancing commercialization and manufacturing readiness.
