Another Brain
54 rue de Londres, Paris, Ile-de-France, 75008, France
Overview
AnotherBrain has developed OrganicAI™, a deep-learning AI that mimics how the human brain learns and functions and does not rely on large corpora of training data. Because it analyses perceptions rather than requiring huge datasets, the technology claims lower cost, reduced energy consumption, explainability, and independence from the cloud, improving privacy and security. OrganicAI is delivered as software today, and the company plans to make the technology available on an AI chip soon. First commercial solutions are being tested by Fortune 100 companies, with general availability expected in early 2020. The firm says OrganicAI could enable every sensor to send interpreted signals rather than raw data and aims to help cars reach full autonomous driving (Level 5) by the middle of the next decade. Founded in 2017 and based in Paris, AnotherBrain has 38 employees and is led by founder Bruno Maisonnier, previously founder of Aldebaran Robotics. Financially, the company has completed a €19M first closing of a Series A and has total financing to date of €35M. AnotherBrain develops an embedded artificial intelligence solution implemented as chips, inspired by the elementary functioning of the cerebral cortex. The technology is designed to learn without human supervision and operate in real time with minimal energy and data consumption. Target applications include automotive, IoT, robotics, security, defense and personalized medicine. The company plans to use the funds to continue developing its platform. AnotherBrain was founded by Bruno Maisonnier and is based in Paris. The company announced a €10M funding round in 2018.
