APK is a plastic recycling specialist based in Merseburg, Germany. It offers Newcycling, a patented method to process plastic waste such as multi-layer packaging into low density polyethylene (LDPE) recyclates. The company's Merseburg plant has been operating for several years. APK is led by its CEO. In February 2023 the company raised €130M in funding from investors including MIG Capital, chemical company LyondellBasell and KIRKBI A/S. APK intends to use the funds to build two new factories.
