Overview

Arctic Therapeutics (ATx) is an Icelandic drug discovery and development company spun out in 2015 from the Center for Applied Genomics. The company leverages applied genomics to advance small-molecule therapeutics and currently has two frontrunners: AT-001, an oral anti-amyloid treatment, and AT-004, a therapy targeting inflammatory skin diseases. The EMA approved a pivotal phase IIb/III trial for AT-001 in Hereditary Cystatin C Amyloid Angiopathy (HCCAA), and ATx plans to explore AT-001 in other familial dementias and Alzheimer’s disease. Post-financing the company plans to launch a phase IIa trial of AT-004 in Europe to demonstrate safety and efficacy in acne vulgaris before expanding into atopic dermatitis, rosacea and psoriasis. ATx operates in Iceland and the US and maintains collaborations across Europe. The company announced strategic board enhancement with Jeppe Ragnar Andersen of Sanos Group joining the board.
