ARena Space operates a chain of seven AR/VR indoor amusement parks in Russia. Its core product is modular AR and VR parks that can include up to 10 different zones and occupy 100 to 1,000 m² depending on location and target audience. The company raised a $7.7 million funding round from local payment processor Rucard. ARena Space plans to use the funding to open an office in Amsterdam and to build its first AR/VR park outside Russia by the end of 2018. It also intends to develop VR and AR products for the mass market and to create a fund for developers of virtual and augmented reality content. Longer-term ambitions include building a network of next-generation VR parks across Europe and the USA.
