Overview
Aris Machina, founded by former Northvolt executives Peter Carlsson and Siddharth Khullar, aims to create an industrial super-intelligence for factories. Its core product is an AI-based Agentic Operating System that transforms fragmented legacy factory environments into knowledge graphs navigated by autonomous agents. The company is initially building two modules: a “co-engineer” that accelerates R&D and reduces errors in battery chemistry, and a factory-floor system that adjusts production in real time to cut waste, boost yield, and lower resource and energy use. Although the first deployment target is battery manufacturing, the platform is designed to extend to semiconductors, aerospace, robotics, defense, biopharma, and fuel production. Aris Machina officially launched at the Slush conference in Helsinki and has assembled a 17-person team, almost entirely drawn from Northvolt. The founders position the technology as a shift from predictive to generative manufacturing, where the system itself proposes next steps. To finance product development and hiring, the startup has secured just over $10 million in pre-seed capital.
