The platform is anchored by a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) that legally employs cleared workers and carries the layered functions companies need to win and deliver federal contracts. Arkenstone launched from stealth and is led by co-founder and CEO Peter Dixon and co-founder and COO William Treseder. The company reported that more than two dozen defense technology firms already use its platform. Arkenstone positions itself to reduce the operational lead time and cost of certifications like CMMC Level 2 and other accreditation lifecycles that previously forced startups to build separate government back offices. It is headquartered in Menlo Park, California, with additional offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Burr Ridge, Illinois.
