Overview
Atavistik Bio is advancing a lead program, ATV-1601, an oral AKT1-selective inhibitor being developed as a potential treatment for hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), a rare genetic bleeding disorder with no approved therapies. The company is also developing a JAK2 V617F mutant-selective inhibitor for myeloproliferative neoplasms, a group of chronic blood cancers. The recent Series B extension increases available capital to support clinical development of ATV-1601 and further advancement of the JAK2 inhibitor. Atavistik previously announced a $120 million Series B in December 2025, and the extension brings total Series B proceeds to $160 million. Leadership has signaled the new funding will accelerate development toward improved efficacy and tolerability for patients, according to CEO Bryan Stuart.
