Athena Alliance operates a modern learning community offering real-time online learning led by experts, one-on-one executive coaching, and a mix of virtual and in-person networking for senior leaders. The platform includes on-demand courses, personalized coaching, and a newly launched Athena Academy of customized career and coaching programs. To date the organization says it has supported more than 400 women to join corporate boards, including placements at Bose, Dropbox, Zillow, and PNC Bank. The company recently hired Erin Essenmacher as Chief Experience and Strategy Officer and has launched a Board Readiness course with an Executive Leadership Course due this fall. Athena plans to use fresh capital to expand its leadership, education, and sales teams and to make further investments in member services, courses, and content. Financially, the company has raised a total of $2.5M in its first 2.5 years, including a $2M seed extension.
