Athentek, based in Taipei, develops smart location technologies and offers Circo, a family of smart wearable devices designed to keep people in a close-knit circle. Circo is available in csl mobile retail stores in Hong Kong, with partners in other countries to be announced shortly. The company is led by CEO Yi-Hsiu Wang. Athentek raised $7M in a Series A financing to support its growth. It intends to use the funds to expand its design and research teams in the U.S. and Taiwan and to grow its business development capabilities internationally.
