Attometrics is an Arizona-based developer of a novel technology capable of detecting protein, metabolite and DNA analytes. The company plans to sell an automated, multiplexed detection system designed for high sample throughput. The system is intended to detect and identify groups of biomarkers for cancer and infectious diseases. Attometrics will receive $25,000 in seed funding provided by the Arizona Commerce Authority and BioAccel. The capital is being delivered through the AZ Furnace Accelerator, the state’s technology transfer startup program. AZ Furnace is a statewide public-private partnership that includes Arizona Commerce Authority, BioAccel, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona, Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona Technology Enterprises, and Dignity Health Arizona.
