AUGA group is an organic food producer that develops agricultural and food-production technologies. The Group has signed financing agreements totalling almost EUR 10 million to support its short-term financial stability and longer-term technology projects. Management says the funds will allow the company to continue developing technological projects and begin their commercialisation, with 2022 targeted as a major year for technological breakthroughs. Planned initiatives include launching biomethane production, deploying zero-emission hybrid tractors on farms, and completing testing of specialised feed technology. In 2021 the Group faced COVID-19 outbreaks that caused short-term production capacity shortages, plus disrupted global logistics, higher logistics costs, delayed export projects, and extreme heat in June–July that affected results. The financing package comprises a multi-year allocation from a COVID-19 support fund and a multi-year bank loan.
