Auxilius Pharma
1515 Woodstock Dr., Hudson, MA, United States
Overview
Auxilius Pharma, founded in 2019, focuses on developing value-added medicines that address high unmet patient needs such as chronic-stable angina pectoris. The company was set up by Uwe Tigör, MD, and Jed Liwiniuk, MHA, and is led by CEO Jed Litwiniuk. Its lead asset, AUX-001, is a potent, dual-mechanism, once-daily anti-anginal reported to have anti-anginal efficacy comparable to beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, or long-acting nitrates while also providing cardioprotective effects. In its presently available form AUX-001 is said to affect underlying coronary artery disease and to lead to better overall disease outcomes, including reductions in hospitalizations for chronic stable angina patients. Auxilius intends to use the funds to develop AUX-001 for treating chronic-stable angina in the US, a condition affecting 11 million Americans over age 20. AUX-001 is expected to be granted a five-year New Chemical Entity (NCE) market exclusivity in the US, where the reference product has never been approved.
