Overview
Axiad delivers identity-first authentication technologies for zero-trust enterprise environments, led by CEO David Canellos. Its flagship product, Axiad Cloud, is an advanced authentication toolset that lets organizations manage authentication without replacing existing systems. Axiad Cloud combines multifactor authentication, cloud-based PKI and credential management using x.509 certificates and FIDO passkeys, and supports a wide range of credentials including FIDO, mobile MFA, Windows Hello for Business, YubiKeys, smart cards, TPM and biometrics. Customers span federal government, finance and banking, healthcare, manufacturing and technology sectors, and use Axiad to optimize existing cybersecurity investments while navigating hybrid infrastructures and regulatory requirements such as FedRAMP, CMMC and AAL3. The company intends to use the new funding to accelerate product development, hire talent, bolster sales and marketing, and advance its FedRAMP Authority to Operate (ATO) efforts. A federal agency has agreed to sponsor Axiad and Axiad Cloud to finalize progress through the FedRAMP process. The company has raised $45 million in total capital to date. Axiad provides a multi-factor authentication platform that enables a secure passwordless experience across biometrics, PKI, Mobile MFA, YubiKeys, TPM, smart cards and other methods. The platform manages every credential’s lifecycle holistically in one place, serving both privileged and non-privileged users. Axiad protects more than 2.5 million enterprise credentials for hundreds of global customers. The company is led by Co-CEOs Yves Audebert and Bassam Al-Khalidi. Axiad intends to use the new funds to accelerate sales, marketing and product development of its authentication platform. The company is headquartered in Santa Clara, California.
