Axonius
41 Madison Avenue, 37th Floor, New York, 10010, United States
Overview
Axonius builds a platform that provides near-real-time snapshots of an organization’s digital assets and infrastructure, covering on-premises and cloud resources. It detects changes in the attack surface and surfaces suggested actions to improve cybersecurity posture. The company has evolved from a single-product asset management offering into a broader management platform that covers assets, software, SaaS and more, and has reached 1,000 platform integrations. Axonius counts about 500 large enterprises as customers, including Schneider Electric, News Corp, and Anheuser-Busch InBev. Nearly five years after launching, the company is on track for more than $100 million in ARR. The stated plan is to use new funding to continue enhancing the platform and expand into new markets. Axonius provides cybersecurity asset management (CAASM) and SaaS management solutions that integrate with hundreds of data sources to deliver a comprehensive asset inventory, uncover gaps, and automatically validate and enforce policies. The platform is deployable in minutes and covers millions of assets, including devices, cloud assets, user accounts, and SaaS applications. Axonius established an innovation unit, AxoniusX, and recently launched SaaS Management that combines SaaS Security Posture Management with SaaS management capabilities. The company reports strong operating momentum, including a 132% year-over-year increase in annual recurring revenue and a third consecutive year of triple-digit revenue growth. In 2021 it nearly doubled its customer base and expanded its team by 174%, and it now counts Fortune 500, Global 500, large federal agencies, and other global leaders among its customers. The new funding is intended to support continued scaling to meet global customer demand. Axonius provides a platform to identify and manage computing-based assets connecting to an organization’s networks and to correlate that data across other security products. Its deterministic algorithms build unique identifiers from data such as timestamps and cloud information to de-duplicate and map devices. The platform integrates with roughly 300 cybersecurity tools (up from about 100 previously) to enable deeper analysis and detection across a fragmented security market. Co-founders Dean Sysman, Ofri Shur, and Avidor Bartov built the product to address the widespread inability of CIOs to know what devices are on their networks, including remote and non-office devices. The company has seen rapid commercial traction, with annual recurring revenue growing ten-fold over 15 months to about $10 million last year. Axonius says it will use the new funding to continue scaling amid surging demand. Axonius builds a platform that discovers, tracks, and manages computing-based assets connecting to corporate networks and plugs that asset data into roughly 100 cybersecurity tools. Its technology uses deterministic algorithms to correlate identifiers (including timestamps and cloud information) to create unique asset records rather than relying on behavioral data. The company positions itself as an agnostic asset-management and enforcement platform rather than building or acquiring the security tools it integrates with, though acquisitions remain a possible future path. Customers include Schneider Electric, the New York Times, and Landmark Medical, and Axonius reported customer growth of 910% year‑over‑year. The firm is New York–based with R&D offices in Tel Aviv and plans to use the new funding to continue investing in its technology and expand the business. To date the company has raised $95 million and did not disclose a valuation for this round. Axonius builds a cybersecurity asset management platform that inventories enterprise assets — clouds, computers and devices — by integrating with more than a hundred existing security and management solutions. The product gives organizations a foundation for enforcing security policies, such as installing endpoint security or blocking unknown devices, by revealing what assets exist on a network. The company says its approach helps enterprises discover gaps and improve overall security posture. Axonius counts customers including The New York Times, Schneider Electric and several Fortune 500 companies. Founded in 2017, Axonius plans to use the new funding to expand sales and marketing teams and continue product development. Leadership emphasizes scaling go-to-market efforts to bring the solution to more organizations.
