AzureBio is a Tres Cantos (Madrid), Spain–based biotechnology company specializing in new stabilization technologies for drugs and biomaterials. The company is developing “Injectable Needles,” a biodegradable solid-needle system for subcutaneous administration designed to replace conventional needles and avoid cold storage, reconstitution and the need for trained personnel in low-resource settings. It is also developing “Synthetic Bone,” a synthetic phosphate and silicate matrix for bone regeneration. AzureBio offers design services to third parties for administration of active ingredients and stabilization of reagents used in diagnosis and treatment.
