BaasBox is an open-source Back-end as a Service (BaaS) that provides a server offering user management, content management and mobile features such as geo-location, check-ins and venue lists. Users can download and deploy BaasBox on laptops, servers, a PaaS (including RedHat OpenShift) or an IaaS provider such as Amazon AWS. The platform targets mobile apps and web applications by allowing developers to connect their applications to a self-hosted Box. The company was co-founded by Claudio Tesoriero and Federico Pacilli and has been incubated in Enlabs. BaasBox raised funding to continue development of the platform and to expand operations.
