Founded in July 2018 in Bengaluru by Vaibhav Anant, Bambrew develops and manufactures sustainable packaging products such as bamboo straws, cutlery and other eco-friendly, biodegradable, and recyclable materials. The company works with tribal communities in Northeast India to source and fabricate its products, generating annual revenue of roughly INR 1 million (≈ Rs 10 lakh). Targeting the estimated $411 billion global packaging market, Bambrew aims to eradicate single-use plastics by supplying green packaging solutions to FMCG, food-service and e-commerce sectors. Early traction has drawn interest from international buyers including Sysco and Gordon Food Services in the United States and importers in Canada and the United Kingdom. Management plans to position Bambrew as a global brand while expanding its product range and production capacity. Proceeds from its latest financing will be channelled into team building, fulfilling current orders, and scaling supply capabilities across India and overseas markets.
