Overview

Bardeen offers a natural-language interface and agent platform that automates repetitive knowledge work for non-technical employees. The platform runs as a context-aware browser extension that performs a planning step to create repeatable automation workflows and continually learns from usage. It integrates with about 100 tools, including Microsoft 365, CRMs and sales platforms, and supports actions like extracting calendar events, creating PDFs, gathering web research and sending emails. Bardeen positions itself as an automation tool for the average person inside a business rather than an IT-focused product. The company says it has more than 300,000 users and over 1,000 paying customers, including Deel, Miro, Kearney, WPP and 10Web. Technically, Bardeen uses Gemini to translate questions and OpenAI GPT models for specific automation tasks. Bardeen provides a browser-extension platform that lets end users build, customize and share workflow automations across common SaaS tools. The system processes and stores data on the edge (inside the user’s browser), which the company positions as a privacy-preserving differentiator versus cloud-first rivals. Bardeen supports integrations with Slack, Zoom, Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion and ClickUp and offers AI features such as Smart Suggestions, OCR and text-to-speech modules. Users can pick from prebuilt automations, modify them, or create custom workflows for tasks like web scraping and spreadsheet updates. Since public launch in February, the platform has grown to more than 25,000 users and the company currently has an 11-person team. Leadership declined to share revenue, saying the company is focused on expansion and plans to hire on the engineering, AI and growth sides over the next year. Bardeen.ai provides a proactive workflow automation platform that enables knowledge workers to automate repetitive tasks and control web apps from anywhere. Its platform automates tasks such as copying information into spreadsheets, scraping data from the web, finding email addresses, and reminding meeting participants. The company has just exited stealth and announced broad availability of its platform. Bardeen.ai is led by CEO Pascal Weinberger and CTO Artem Harutyunyan and is based in San Francisco, CA. It raised $3.5M in seed funding and intends to use the proceeds to accelerate growth and expand operations, team, and product. The round was led by 468 Capital and FirstMark Capital.
