Bastion designs, manufactures and installs physical security products including cash machine enclosures, cashier facilities and anti-ballistic products for banking, defence, retail sectors and government departments. The company plans to launch several new products into the public security, commercial security and defence sectors, including a high security modular enclosure system. It intends to use new funding to increase capacity as it expands into new and existing markets, upgrade production facilities and recruit and train staff. Bastion is led by Managing Director Tom Deevy, who acquired the company in 2002 through a management buy-out. The company currently employs 22 staff and is based in Gateshead, UK.
