Bayou Energy has built technology that pulls customer data from U.S. utilities to provide real-time information on energy use and consumption over time. Its data is aimed at businesses deploying clean energy products—such as heat pump installers who need proper sizing and solar installers estimating export to the grid—as well as companies tracking energy use and emissions. The company launched in late 2022 and currently can access data from 24 utilities, capturing roughly 44% of the U.S. market; its goal is to reach 96 utilities by the end of the year to cover about 90% of the nation.
