Founded in 2025, BCI-Sonics is developing low-intensity focused ultrasound technology intended to non-invasively stimulate deep brain regions with precision down to 1.5 millimetres. The company combines that focused ultrasound capability with AI-powered closed-loop neural modulation to enable real-time reading and adjustment of brain stimulation. BCI-Sonics targets therapeutic applications for conditions such as Parkinson's disease and chronic pain and also aims at consumer health use cases. It is collaborating with universities and hospitals to validate clinical applications as it advances toward commercialisation. The company reported raising just over CNY 100 million ($14M) in an angel/angel+ round to fund development and validation work.
