Bday operates a Facebook application aimed at assisting users with gift giving by recommending gift cards based on recipients' Facebook Likes and attached sentiment. In conjunction with its recent funding, the company launched the Bday Gift Finder, which evaluates fan pages of top brands and searches profiles only for Likes with positive sentiment as determined by a human reviewer rather than algorithms. The Gift Finder recommends and enables purchase of cards for physical products (clothes and accessories) and virtual goods (online content and social games). Bday said it will use the capital to further expand its technology and product portfolio. The company is Israeli-based.
