Be2Byte builds LabThunder, a SaaS platform that centralizes device management, digital logbooks and operational knowledge for laboratories and integrates an AI assistant called Thunder AI to help staff find information, troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime. The platform targets analytical service labs, environmental and food analytics, and clinical and academic labs, with entry into the regulated pharmaceutical sector planned for late 2027. A cited deployment at the ISO-17025 accredited Zentrallabor Witowski reduced documentation work by over 70%, replaced 107 paper logbooks, and was rolled out in ten weeks. The founding team includes CEO and co-founder Julian Weber (16 years’ lab experience), co-founder and CRO Manuel Diaz, and CTO Robert Perez. The company is based in Magdeburg and recently raised €500,000 from the IBG-Fonds managed by bmp Ventures to fund expansion and product development.
