BeGas, a Basque engine manufacturer, focuses on developing powertrains that run entirely on BioAutogás for trucks and other heavy urban-industrial vehicles. The company already sells certified engines and is now directing capital toward two new 6- and 9-liter BioAutogás models slated for market launch and homologation in 2025. To meet rising European demand, BeGas will expand output at its Ortuella (Bizkaia) plant and strengthen its supply chain, which includes ZF Group, Bimotor/FPT and Bosch Engineering Group. Under its 2025-2028 strategic plan, the firm intends to triple revenue and grow headcount by 50 %. It is also running R&D programs on hydrogen engines in collaboration with CMT and CTAG, partly funded by Next Generation EU initiatives via CDTI and IDAE. These efforts reinforce its ambition to lead the decarbonisation of heavy urban transport.
