BIA Separations Slovenia designs and manufactures CIM Convective Interaction Media® monolithic chromatographic columns optimized for laboratory and industrial‑scale separation and purification of large biomolecules and viral particles. The company is experiencing growing interest in its 40L and larger CIM monolithic columns. Management says the new capital will enable expansion into the food industry while continuing support for a growing number of gene‑therapy projects. The investment is also intended to strengthen the company’s balance sheet amid changes at its largest shareholder. BIA Separations Austria, the largest shareholder, has stepped away from daily operations and is undergoing financial restructuring. META Ingenium’s involvement brings both capital and investor expertise to support acceleration and internationalization.
